Lighting is considered to be one of the most important elements in a room, from the wall color to the rug. When designing a room take into consideration the different lighting elements there could be, from wall lights over the sofa for reading or an eye-catching chandelier that illuminates the whole room. Are you ready to build incredible light up rooms? If so, have a look at these lighting ideas sure to make your space brighter!

When designing a living room look out for three types of lighting: ambient, tasks and accent. Ambient light provides a room with overall illumination, task lighting directs light to certain work zones, and accent lights highlight specific objects. Within those basic requirements are a world of options.

In large rooms, overhead fixtures may be insufficient. In those situations, look for multiple fixtures throughout the room. The secret behind this look is to have simple fixtures with clean silhouettes. Even though you are using different light sources, there’s no rule saying they have to match. Don’t be afraid to mix different styles from contemporary lighting to modern lighting as it is a great way to bring character and personality to any room.
